Ziad Dalloul

Ziad Dalloul

CEO, President and Founder

Ziad Dalloul has spent more than 30 years setting up and managing successful telecoms projects, ranging from international communications companies to cellular operators and the building of fixed and mobile telecommunications infrastructure in Africa, the Middle East, the Gulf, and Eastern Europe. Ziad established Africell in 2001 and has engineering degrees from Boston University and Columbia University.

Executive Vice President

Magase Mogale has more than 17 years’ legal and investment experience, with particular expertise in corporate finance. As Executive Vice President, he oversees legal resources to accomplish the group’s goals, strategies and priorities. Magase started his career in South Africa, at Deneys Reitz Inc. (Norton Rose Fulbright) in 2008 and later moved to White & Case LLP in London. Magase joined Africell as Chief Legal Officer in 2020 and was named ‘In-House Market maker of the Year’ at the prestigious IFLR Africa Awards 2021.

Godfrey Efeurhobo

Chief Commercial Officer

Godfrey Efeurhobo joined Africell from Airtel Nigeria in 2022, where he was Chief Commercial Officer. As Chief Commercial Officer of Africell, Mr. Efeurhobo leads all aspects of commercial operations including marketing, sales and distribution, customer experience, regional operations and retail. Godfrey is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

J. Peter Pham

Ambassador J. Peter Pham is a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council and former Director of the think tank’s Africa Center. Between 2018-21, Ambassador Pham was a senior US State Department official serving first as US Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region, and then as US Special Envoy for the Sahel. Ambassador Pham is a globally regarded expert on African affairs and in 2015, the Regents of the Smithsonian Institution elected him to the Board of the National Museum of African Art, of which he served as vice-chair from 2016-21.

Robert Wexler served as a Democratic Member of the United States Congress from 1997 to 2010, representing Florida’s 19th district in the House of Representatives. Upon retiring from Congress, he became President of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, D.C. Congressman Wexler was named one of the “50 Most Effective Legislators in Congress” by the influential magazine Congressional Quarterly.
