“I joined Africell in 2020. It is exciting to be able to work in a role in DRC’s growing private sector, learning how a serious international business operates but also seeing its direct impact on ordinary local consumers. My role, in finance, requires diligence and attention-to-detail. I was proud to win ’employee of the quarter’ in December 2024”.

“As a significant corporate player in the countries in which operate, people are naturally interested in what Africell is doing and what our plans are. PR, communications and marketing are extremely important functions in the company because they allow us to express ourselves and convey important messages to our most important audiences – including the general public, of course, but also including governments, investors, and media. Africell takes pride in doing business transparently and communicating well is key to that.”
TECHNICAL

Fabrice Mamba
Radio Network Operator, DRC
“As a radio network operator, I work directly with the advanced equipment which forms the backbone of our mobile network. Operating in Africa, where infrastructure is not always reliable and weather can sometimes be dangerous, Africell needs to adapt the way we work to local conditions. Accessing remote facilities to perform critical maintenance and upgrade operations can be a challenge, but it is also one of the most fun parts of the job because we get to experience some beautiful and fascinating places.”
